Jajaran Bidang Penaatan dan Peningkatan Kapasitas, Bidang PPKLH dan UPTB Lab pada Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Bekasi, melakukan pengecekan dan pengambilan sampling diperbatasan yang merupakan kali lintas wilayah Kabupaten Bogor dan Kota Bekasi, Senin (20/07/20). Berdasarkan pengamatan lapangan oleh Tim Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Bekasi, pencemaran sudah terjadi pada hulu kali Cileungsi yang berada di Kabupaten Bogor. "Kali tersebut dapat terlihat dari warna hitam pada air, berbuih dan berbau," kata Kasubag Publikasi Humas Setda Pemerintah Kota Bekasi, Muklis, Selasa (21/7/2020). Muklis menambahkan, menurut warga setempat Hal ini sering terjadi pada musim kemarau, karena pada saat kemarau debit air menurun, pencemaran limbahpun dapat terlihat dengan jelas. Oleh karena itu, tim Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Bekasi mengambil sampel air di beberapa titik lokasi diantaranya di Jembatan Kota Wisata Kabupaten Bogor, Perumahan Limus Nunggal Kabupaten Bogor, Jalan Pangkalan 6 tapal batas antara kabupaten Bogor dan Kota Bekasi, Bendung Kali Bekasi/Jembatan Hasibuan. Menindaklanjuti perihal tersebut, Pemerintah Kota Bekasi akan menyampaikan surat pengaduan yang ditujukan kepada Gubernur Jawa Barat dan ditembuskan kepada Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi Jawa Barat serta Bupati Bogor. "Pemerintah Kota Bekasi berharap dengan adanya tindakan dari dinas terkait mengenai normalisasi kali Bekasi dapat diproses untuk ditindak lanjuti oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat," tambahnya.
